Astronomical Virtual Observatory

The AVO project is a "Special Project" supported by Comitato Nazionale per la Scienza e le Tecnologie dell'informazione of the National Council of Research (C.N.R.) in Italy starting from 1997

"The project will study and carry out tools to catalogue, distribute, and use, the data of the astronomical and astrophysical research via digital networks."
